CSR & CommunityCompany Social ResponsibilityContribution to Local Community:Smart Surface Sdn Bhd has kept close cooperation with surrounding universities in the greater Kuala Lumpur area, namely APIIT, UPM, and MMU. In addition to cooperation on development of multitouch applications, we receive interns from these universities who work with us part time, most of them continue with us after graduation. We also welcome student groups who would like our help in their assignments or projects examining real-work situations in SMCs. - MultiMedia University Visiting Smart Surface Contribution to Global Multitouch Community:Our Forum provides a venue for exchanging ideas about multitouch and surface computing and through it members can download our free software and SmartSurfaceTracker. We currently have 150 members of SmartSurface community forum from all over the World. These current members and past ones have done over 245 downloads of our SmartSurfaceTracker and over 190 downloads of our Tracker's Source Code. (Numbers as of end of Aug. 2010) Our community members are not End-Users, rather they are IT specialists who are familiar with multitouch, surface computing and natural user interfaces, and who provide solutions to End-Users and Clients. They mostely try or actaully use our SmartSurfaceTracker on their own developed hardware. Keeping in mind that the number of those specialists of Natural User Interface technologies is still not so large around the World, the above downloads numbers are significant. We look forward to increasing our community and benefit them from free updates coming soon to our SmartSurfaceTracker. |
